Emotional coaching for teens, parents, couples and adults

Another conversation with your teen ends in an argument. In your relationship, you keep quiet to avoid a fight. A decision that matters gets postponed for another month. These patterns take a toll on your relationships, your time, and your trust in yourself.

I am Yossi Medalsi, an emotional coach and the creator of the M.S.A. approach. At Heart Compass, we work on releasing the fears, beliefs, and patterns holding you back, while building the ability to choose, act, and handle what comes next. Sessions take place online via Zoom.

Where does this show up in your life?

In your relationships, your parenting, or the choices you keep postponing. We start with what hurts and work toward change you can recognise in daily life.

Emotional coaching for teens

Your teen wants friends but holds back, fears getting things wrong, or gives up before trying. We work on the fears and beliefs behind those patterns and build goals they choose for themselves: starting a conversation, expressing an opinion, or trying something new. We also make room for divorce, moving abroad, and questions of belonging.

Parent coaching for the teenage years

Every request turns into an argument, and you swing between losing your temper and giving in. Practical parent coaching helps you understand the cycle, recognise your own triggers, and maintain boundaries and connection when your teen pushes back. Parents can start on their own. We also work on parenting across two homes and the pressures of relocation.

Emotional coaching for couples

You keep having the same conversation and still feel alone in the relationship. We begin with individual sessions for each partner to work on the patterns they bring to the relationship. Then we meet together to develop communication, agreements, and a shared direction. There is room to explore what comes next when the future of the relationship is uncertain.

Personal growth and emotional coaching

Another opportunity passes without you asking. Another relationship leaves your own needs behind. We work on people-pleasing, fear of rejection, perfectionism, and overthinking, while turning what you want into goals and action. This includes career changes, separation, and relocation. You build trust in your ability to hear the answer, learn from a mistake, and keep going.

The approach M.S.A.

M.S.A. connects emotional work on the patterns driving your reactions with the life you want to build. We map the pattern, work on releasing it with your consent, and develop your direction and goals alongside that work. Change shows up in your choices, conversations, relationships, and the steps you used to put off.

Map what holds you back | Understand the recurring pattern

We look at a situation that keeps repeating: what happens, how you feel, and what you fear. We connect it with your history and the beliefs you have learned, then choose a pattern to work on and a change that matters to you.

Shed the barriers | Work on emotional release with consent

Through work with the subconscious and the inner child, we pay attention to the fear, emotion, and need holding the pattern in place. We work on releasing it while making room for both your wish to change and your concerns about change. You remain an active participant in the pace and depth of the work.

Advance towards your goals and purpose | Trust yourself to handle what comes next

Alongside the emotional work, we clarify your direction, define goals, and choose practical steps. You build the ability to ask without a guaranteed answer, set a boundary when someone is disappointed, and try again after a mistake. We review what changed and what still holds you back, so you can keep making your own choices after coaching ends.

Questions before getting started

What happens in emotional coaching with M.S.A.?

We map a recurring pattern and the fear and belief behind it. We work on releasing it through emotional attention, the subconscious, and the inner child, with your consent. Alongside that work, we clarify what you want and choose goals and actions. We review how the work shows up in your decisions, relationships, and ability to cope.

I understand my patterns. Why do I still react the same way?

You can know you are allowed to say no and still agree because you fear disappointing someone. Understanding helps identify the pattern. In M.S.A., we also work with the fear and belief that make it hard to let go. Alongside that work, you choose an action connected to your goal, then review what happened in the next session.

How do online sessions work?

Sessions take place on Zoom. You need a quiet, private space, a stable connection, and a camera. Meetings combine conversation and guided emotional attention according to your goal and the stage of the process. You take an active part and can ask questions or stop. With teens, we also agree on privacy and parental involvement.

Can we work together if we live abroad or are planning a move?

Yes. We arrange Zoom sessions around our time zones. We work on loneliness, career changes, changing roles at home, and children's difficulties with belonging and adjustment. You can begin with personal coaching, parent coaching, or couples coaching according to what you want to change.

My teen does not want to attend. Can we start with parent coaching?

Yes. We can begin with the parents, map the cycle repeating at home, and work on the responses you can change. You develop ways to set boundaries, listen, and have conversations when there is resistance. If your teen later wants to join, we explore their own goals with them. Participation is with their agreement.

How are parents involved in a teen's coaching?

We agree on parental involvement according to age and need while protecting the teen's privacy and trust. When communication and boundaries at home need attention, we include parent coaching. Your teen's goals are developed with them, giving them a say in the direction of the work.

When might we start seeing change?

A focused parent-coaching process is often around five sessions. In personal and teen coaching, progress is commonly reviewed over an initial eight to ten sessions. The pace depends on your needs and goals, and teens may need additional time to build trust. We agree on an initial framework and review what has changed and what still needs work.

How does couples coaching work?

We begin with individual sessions for each partner. Each person has space to explore their experience, needs, and relationship patterns, and work on releasing those patterns. We then meet together to build a shared direction and translate it into conversations, agreements, and actions. Both partners have room in the relationship and responsibility for their own choices.

How is emotional coaching different from therapy?

M.S.A. is an emotional coaching approach combining pattern mapping, emotional work with consent, goals, and steps in daily life. Therapy includes a range of approaches and may also address patterns and goals. Coaching does not replace mental health assessment or treatment when these are needed. In the introductory call, we explore what you are seeking and whether this coaching framework fits your needs.

Can sessions take place in English?

We can explore this together in an introductory conversation, making sure we can communicate comfortably and work in depth.
